Another year, and all's well!
Hey Ladies....I just got back from my yearly pulmonologist appointment...I am always a nervous wreck for a few days prior, not knowing what you might hear...He said my lungs look good (no worse than last year), and my breathing is great...WOO HOO!....I don't have to go back for another year....Just WAIT for a few more weeks....My blog will be getting a "makeover"...Pictures etc....I just ordered my antiquated self my FIRST digital camera (pitiful, I know)...A hot pink Canon SD1400 ELPH (whatever THAT all means)is coming my way...I'll be able to get Daisy in the "picture"-ha!, and take some Hawaii pics.....Don't expect Lyndsey fancy smancy expertise, but certainly better than what I've got going on now...Only 8 days left to teach summer school...I'm trying not to wish the time away so quickly because that just means that summer will disappear before I know it....Chat soon, girlies.

aren't you in Hawaii yet?? more trivia...every island has it's own official flower and color! I'm happy for the positive health check-up and it's always a plus when you can breathe! Congrats on the new piece of technology and at least it's in a great color so you will look cool taking the pix...Have I even seen a photo of the pet that is Scotty Love Payne's lookalike yet??? CONSUMER ALERT! I'm in Orlando at a conference and we have "free time" after 5..the most dangerous words ever....Did I mention there's an AT LOFT RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET? I hope my gold card is paid up...details to follow!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHa!...Leaving on July 30th (2 days after my b-day!)....I love your trivia facts....These things make good cocktail conversations!.... Nope, Daisy has yet to make an appearance...Tell Scotty to "Buckle Up!"...Hopefully her "cute" will outweigh her "crazy"...You shop at all "MY" stores....Did you know that they give a teacher discount????....How's the conference going???

I love sharing vicariously n all my blog-girls victories and triumphs! Now if I could only get through this Lit Review...now then I could have some relief...lol

ReplyDeleteUgh!!!...These lit. reviews are always a struggle b/c they are so dry BUT this one is especially tough because there are THREE articles....I know what I'll be doing all weekend :(
ReplyDeleteour instructor let me also use a book instead of an article because as Reading Coach I was purchased a copy of...wait for it....RTI, The Final Frontier (ok, so it's a joke about the last part)...I'm not feeling it either, probably because this is the 3rd Lit Review in my UNE career....anyhoo...Adrienne, I ended up buying a suit..jacket normal price was $129, but they had a special, but the jacket AND pants and ONLY PAY total price $99 .....so how could I possibly turn it down when I was out the door for $115...(forgot to mention bought a pair of clearance capri jeans too....)
ReplyDeleteThat IS a deal...I never mind spending for jackets....They are classic and will never go out of style.... I have ALOT of tailored blazers (afraid to tell the actual #), and I love that I can throw one on with tailored jeans and I look pulled together w/minimal effort.... I'm w/you, this is my 3rd lit. review....This is your last UNE class, right?...I have one more to go in Sept.,then I will be done....I won't get my pay increase until Feb. though....It will be to the tune of $5000-nice....I ended up getting a Stafford loan for these classes...I am going to put in for the Teacher Loan forgiveness....If you have been teaching in a Title One school for over 5 years, are in good standing etc., you can get up to $5000 of your loan forgiven....Not too shabby! ReplyDeletewhat sucks..is that in Florida,well Duval County, we don't have the mega pay hikes and the only steps is BA - MA - Specialist - phD...and YES! this is my last UNE class...unless, I decide to just continue and get a second degree...my Ms in Ed with a concentration in Literacy...Actually, I just may do that...What I also know is that I hope to live in the South Florida area in the next few years...My friend just transferred and they gave him a $3,000 annual bonus for EACH of his Master's!!!!! later, dudette... Today I am in Tampa and I'm seriously thinking about scouting out an outlet...wish me luck....I'll return with a full report.
