Well, this "little" gem arrived on my doorstep this week, courtesy of Pottery Barn....WHERE the heck am I going to put this monster?!....I dig the restoration feel of the piece....I'm thinking either over my loveseat or my bed...Is there a rehab for shoppers????....As for the weekend, Steve took me out last night to a lovely restaurant called 55 Degrees in Fairfield to celebrate my birthday (which is on Weds.)...He also told me that Kyle, his sister, and he want to have a little cookout on Thurs. to celebrate...I feel like the queen!...I'm a minute away from 43 OMG!...I sure don't FEEL it...I guess it's all a state of mind-and the "magic" potions you slather on your face-ha!....It's ALL good.
at least Daisy seems to approve! I need to share a picture of this brass thing that Mr. Man's mom sent me home with...I have absolutely no clue what to do with it, will probably put it over a couch and with a plate of glass or something...YOU ARE THE QUEEN! 43 is rough but in December will be THE BIG 5-0 for me....so, I'm gonna be like Disney with a magical year of celebrations and it's all going to start in late November with a National Teacher of English conference at DISNEY WORLD!! and I'm staying at the Beach Club a minute away from Epcot...LOVE THE HARDWORD FLOORS TOO... are you getting my room ready for a visit?
ReplyDeleteThe room is ready with a chocolate on the pillow-ha!....Actually, my guest room has been used about 5 measley times....It's got a "New Englandy" bed and breakfast vibe...Kyle's NOT a fan of the flowers.....Do show a pic of your brass addition....As for the 5-0...It's a number, not a state of mind...AND you look GREAT!
ReplyDeleteWow girls, I could have sworn I was chatting with a bunch of teenagers! It definitly is a state of mind and I can tell you both are living the good one!! I am in Hampton beach on my iPod, considering a permanant transformation to a mermaid so I HAVE to stay at the ocean! Lol. Anyway...have an amazing birthday, A! ReplyDeleteNo way I would go there and be a teenager again....now a mermaid....this time next week, I'll be in the waves with Mr. Man...I love, love, love the waves! I love, love, love the ocean! It just feels like a thousand hands are just massaging your whole body, you know? Then you add the whole salt component to heal up any little scrapes or sores and it's nature's little almost-mud treatment...
